I am a Design Engineer working as a consultant mainly on packaging products and mechanisms, usually but not exclusively using plastic mouldings.

I have evolved a way of creating presentation material from Solidworks and Photoworks and then processing it using Photoshop. The aim of this site is to pass on some of these techniques so that others can explore the possibilities.

I hold no claim to being good at this, or to using the best methods to achieve the results. I use techniques I have pick-up along the way and look forward to being shown better ways of achieving that perfect presentation.

I have two other websites, my design consultancy site at www.brianlawdesign.co.uk where I have a gallery of showing the type of work I normally do.

I also have a site www.woodenclocks.co.uk that I have maintained for a number of years on the web that offers plans for woodenclocks for those interested in a real woodworking challenge. All the clocks were originally designed on much earlier versions of Solidworks.

I love your clocks. I am imagining them in woods such as bubinga, Ipe, Zebrawood, cocobolo, Purplewood, and beech my favorite cabinetmaking wood.

By the way i did order the rockler catalog, i figure that is the least I can do!

One day I will build them and add a few details such as contrasting inlays @ a few sixteenths from the edges and I will send you a picture.

    Hi

I have been looking at your wooden clock website and have been inspited by your work.
I am considering making your clock Nr 2 from perspex / wood and I would be very grateful if you could email the DXF files.

I would like to display the finished clock in our meeting room at work (credited to you for design !)- I think it will be a great talking point for our visitors who have engineering backgrounds.

Thank you in advance for your help.

    Regards
    Steve Saxon
